Wendy Williams has been MIA from her talk show since December, and it doesn’t look like she will be returning anytime soon. After weeks of guest hosts and celebrity panel shows, an insider says that The Wendy Williams Show will soon begin airing reruns, and the show’s staff is starting to wonder if their jobs are in jeopardy.
According to Radar Online, Williams has not spoken to her employees since she left the show before Christmas due to health problems, and she has continued to push back her return.

“It has been a struggle,” says an insider.
Between her health issues and relationship problems, it has definitely been a rough time for the 54-year-old talk show host. Before her hiatus, she exhibited strange behavior on air, which she apologized for – blaming pain medication – and then promised she would be back at the beginning of January.
But, she pushed back her return multiple times and has laid low and not spoken publicly amid her husband’s cheating scandal. Williams has only surfaced once since leaving her show, with cameras capturing the talk show host late last month during a trip to a CVS pharmacy in Florida.
As she attempts to get healthy, William’s co-executive producer has been enjoying her time with the fill-ins. In fact, some fans think she is too happy about Williams’ absence. Suzanne Bass – who has been a part of The Wendy Williams Show since it debuted a decade ago – posted a pic on Instagram during Nick Cannon’s hosting stint, and she called him a “class act and a delight to work with.”
Fans immediately took the remark as shade towards Williams, thinking that Bass’ comment was implying that Williams’ wasn’t so classy.

Williams’ family released a statement last month to give fans an update on her health. They shared that Williams had a fractured shoulder and was also experiencing complications from Graves’ Disease.
“Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital. Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being,” read the statement.
The family also thanked everyone for their well-wishes and for respecting their privacy.
