Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson says that her marriage to Shane will once again be a big part of her storyline during her second season on the Bravo show, and she says that being on reality TV has definitely brought new challenges to her relationship. Could Emily and Shane’s marriage be in trouble?
Emily explained that when you put your life in front of the camera, it highlights everything bad that happens and everyone can comment and judge. She says that Shane deals with this better than she does and often laughs it off, but there are times where she doesn’t find the negative comments funny, and she gets “really affected by it.”

The attorney and part-time party planner also revealed on The Domenick Nati Show that during Season 14, RHOC fans will see that her marriage is a combination of happy, strong, and troubled.
“I mean, I’m not speculating that there’s any divorce in the future but we definitely have our ups and downs and I think you’ll see a lot of that this season, especially with the pressures we’re dealing with as a married couple,” says Emily.
Shannon Beador told Us Weekly that Emily hasn’t been “fun” this season, and she’s not sure why. She also admitted that she and Emily haven’t developed a close relationship. Shannon said that all of last season Emily kept asking where “Fun Shannon” was, and this season she was asking “where’s Fun Emily?”
“I don’t mean to be cruel to her, but you know, if you’re going to say that I’m not fun, like, look at yourself too,” said Beador.
Emily says that she doesn’t know Beador very well because she doesn’t talk to her much, and she added that she doesn’t trust Beador when she is in her Tres Amigas group with Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge.

“The tres Amigas are just out for themselves, so I don’t trust them as a whole. As a group,” said Simpson.
As for the body-shaming she’s had to endure on social media since joining the RHOC cast, Emily says that it is hurtful, but she doesn’t let it affect her. She says it stings to read horrible things about yourself, but she still has a lot of confidence, and she thinks she has a great body.
“It is hard sometimes, filming with such petite women sometimes I feel like the Jolly Green Giant next to them. But it’s just who I am and it makes me unique,” she added.
